Step 2 — Choose Calculation Method (FPC 403.1.1)

Standard 50/50 split — divide total occupant load by 2 for each sex; potty parity may apply in Assembly.

Single-User (403.1.2) — fixtures can be single-user toilet rooms; lavatories are calculated equal to required WCs for simplicity.

All-Gender Multi-User (403.1.1 Exception #2) — calculate at 100% total occupant load; each fixture must comply with ICC A117.1 and each urinal must be in a stall.

Fractions are summed by occupancy group and rounded up per 403.1.1. Totals are displayed after you add your spaces and click Total All.
